About us
Every day at Ruusutarha, children are greeted by two familiar adults. Our small group size and home-like atmosphere make it possible to form close relationships between the caregivers, the child, and their family.
We are a mother-daughter duo combining strong experience with up-to-date knowledge which is an unbeatable combination! Our native language is Finnish, but we both speak fluent English and are happy to provide service in English as well.
Raisa is the founder of Ruusutarha, entrepreneur, teacher, educator, wife, mother, and grandmother. She holds a Master's degree in English and has over 20 years of experience in teaching and education. In her free time, Raisa enjoys spending time with her family in their old war-era house, which always has projects to work on both inside and out. She also practices Taekwondo, works part-time as a nail technician, and loves working with her hands, for example baking.
Marian is a qualified early childhood educator who graduated in education and guidance. She completed her internships in kindergartens, after-school clubs, and group family daycares, receiving excellent feedback. Marian has also helped care for her brother, who is 12 years younger than her, since his birth. She attended her primary school in English at the Finnish International School of Tampere. In her free time, she goes to the gym and enjoys spending time with her friends and family.
